Susan Federici, PhD, MBA, is Founder and Principal of Federici Business Group.  Susan holds a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Southern California.  She has more than 20 years of experience both working in new product development and working with clients to achieve their business growth goals.  She worked 16 years for Tektronix, a Portland, Oregon high technology company.  She was a very productive member of the tiger team that developed the hot wax ink jet color printing technology.  That technology now figures prominently in Xerox's computer printer product lineup.  While at Tektronix, Susan was involved first hand with the entire new product development enterprise, from the first provocative idea through successful product launch. This experience included the vital interaction between Marketing and the Technologists.  Susan had four patents allowed while
at Tektronix.

Susan left Tektronix in 1998 to broaden her business expertise by pursuing an MBA at Portland State University, Portland, Oregon.  She graduated in 2001, with an emphasis in management. 

Federici Business Group was founded in 2002.  Since then many client companies strengthened their growth prospects as a result of Susan's consultation.  Among these were: Paradigm Optics, Oregon Health and Science University and the Port of Portland.

Susan continues to improve her skills through professional association certifications.  In 2007, she completed the New Product Professional certification process of the New Product Development and Management Association. 

Susan is active in the Portland business community.  She on the Board of Directors of the American Marketing Association Oregon Chapter and a member of the Portland Rotary Club.
